Artist // Traditional Art
My Bio

I am a 33 year old artist, grew up in NYC, spent some years in cali, currently living in Columbus, Ohio.

I love art, love making art. I had been apprenticing at a tattoo shop for ten months before covid, and now I'm trying to figure out what the hell to do with my life...who knows, but if I die trying to cut it as an artist, so be it.

I love graphite, love pen and ink. I can draw with a tablet or Wacom, but prefer traditional mediums for the kind of stuff I do, though I'm not limited to it. I love drawing from imagination and life, as well as doing portraits. I like dark and surreal subject matter, and try to merge my love of classical artists and illustrators with my equal love for comics, tattoos and heavy metal.

Always open for commissions, feel free to hit me up with any inquiries at znegative1988@gmail.com

I got a notification this afternoon that an anonymous member had gifted me a free month of core membership, which is super generous, and I want to thank the person who did this. I have my guesses, but ultimately don't know. Its easy to feel disillusioned and cynical about the world (being an artist can sometimes aggravate this), which is why it's important for me to highlight those acts of kindness, and to do my best to 'pay it forward' in some way. I want to express my gratitude to anyone who's taken the time to like my work, leave a comment, or add it to a collection etc... I think most artists (I would say all but I've heard of a few who didn't) want their work to be seen, and that in some sense, a negative reaction is preferable to none at all. I'll often find while browsing social media some drawing that is kick ass which seems to be getting no attention at all, and it gets to me, because, to state the obvious-its unfair feeling. So many people on Deviant Art, Instagram and

Hey guys! Been a minute since I wrote anything, but I’ve been meaning to, and after waking up this morning to see an email stating someone had gifted me a month of core membership, I felt it was only right to say a sincere thank you to the anonymous user for their generosity; as well as express my gratitude for all the other wonderful artists on here who have been a source of encouragement and inspiration. This month’s been really insane, as I’m sure everyone else can relate to, especially with inktober-and I think it’s awesome to see artists support each other (in general-not specific just to me lol-which is lovely too, but I don’t mean to sound too egocentric!) through this challenge, but in general too. Art is challenging and often the only way to keep from slipping into complete despair is to find comfort and escapism within our own little creations. Anyway once again, thank you all so much for your kindness.

Been having a great time working on my current projects, I know 2021 has gotten off on a rocky start but I’m still trying to be positive. One thing that’s been bothering me is that I feel conflicted about presenting myself both on social media platfo...

Thank you for the favorite :)

I just wanted to say, you're art is incredible!! I'm always thrilled to find someone who appreciates pen and ink, and you really bring it to life!

Absolutely tremendous work. It's quite easy to stumble onto your gallery and fall into a rabbit hole. There's so much detail and so much to lookout. I especially like the models you've built and the dynamic lighting. Have you ever put out a book of art? Maybe a collection of ink drawings or book of photography with your models?
